Beret
A Beret is a flat round hat made that has a soft structure which sits on the wearer in a slanted manner. It is normally made in fabrics that are woven or knitted but is normally in a wool felt. A beret was thought to have been created in the 17th Century in the Basque region. It is an item that is associated with France and for its use in the military (being adopted for uniforms in 1889). In Britain, the beret was fashioned by the men and women in the 1920s; it could also be seen to be worn with sports and was fashionable amongst the working class too.
