乱世忠魂是由Montgomery Clift主演的战争题材电影，其中Frank Sinatra and和Burt Lancaster饰演珍珠港事件发生时驻扎在夏威夷的士兵。这样的演员阵容，在服饰上自然不能令人失望。这部电影被提名为奥斯卡最佳服装设计，但最终获得此殊荣的是《罗马假日》的Edith Head。这部电影引领了夏威夷衬衫的流行，这种衬衫以多彩的叶子和水果图案著称，因而电影最令人失望的是它是一部黑白电影。虽然现在夏威夷衬衫不是很流行，但不时地我们还是能在时装秀上看到它的影子。
