Autumn-Winter 2012/13 — Miuccia consistently delivers dictating trends; the go to designer to ensure fashion leadership. Black hits back at the candy pastels of spring/summer and geometric patterns are in,  creating a wonderful array of wacky prints. First, high collared black cashmere coats beheld geometrically arranged stones. Then, wonderfully wild and colourful trouser suits in orange, blue, purple and, of course, black; it was a combination of mosaic prints in mismatching colours for a walk on the psychedelic side. Belts brought in the silhouette just under the bust for a new take on the waist belt, and sculpted Mary Janes or brogues that were worn inside coloured rubber over shoes all hint at the  brilliance of the brand. The strong eyeliner matched the strong clothing as flamboyant mosaic prints covered long sleeveless overcoats while embellished dresses hung over trousers. Prada is a fashion cult in which we should all idolise.
