Spring-Summer 2013 – It is easy to see why Yohji Yamamoto has a cult following. His collections are cool, wearable and easy on the eye. This time was no different, one only needing to look towards the bleached blonde mohawk for affirmation of this. Then, the collaboration of dresses that took on an unfinished appearance being both rugged and looking to be inside out. These were of sandy-tones worn with sneakers. This unfinished aesthetic was seen throughout, with charcoal knitted cardigans and cropped tapered trousers worn with little else. It was a loose fit, with billowing tops and ultra long sleeve detailing. The utility feel came next with aviator jumpsuits, oversized shorts and jackets coming in khaki and worn with retro pilot hats and googles. In complete contrast came the softer and lighter pieces such as a baby blue jacket worn with a white cobweb skirt. With flashes of loose red dresses and then pink chiffon skirts, it was a topsy-turvy show with a multitude of styles and looks.
