Spring-Summer 2013 – Tisci endeavoured to celebrate his personality through his clothing this season; his name has become as iconic as the brand itself. To do this we saw the perfect balance between hard and soft, edgy and pure, he explained it as ‘super hard and then super soft’ with an undercurrent of Sixties shapes. This was clear with the division between the tops; one the one side sleeveless and ruffled, on the other, slick and full sleeved. Colour wise, baby blue contrasted with black. They were representative of the two concepts. The accessories consisted of minimalist clutches and ecclesiastical collars, along with rivets holding waists and shoulders in place and aiding the development of flounces and ruffles. There was a curvature to the silhouette with billowy sleeves on blouses and curved sleeves on short jackets. Translucent clothes were liberating over tougher and more structured tops, trousers and skirts and beautiful pleating added a spot of femininity to structured coats: a classic example of restrained femininity.
