Spring-Summer 2013 – Though the colour palette was ever-changing, there was an unmistakeable underlying oriental tone throughout the show. White being the new black, the show began with this pure colour. Greek goddess dresses came draped in chiffon with the faintest dragon swirls. Trousers came baggy boasting transparent sides with the white and back front, the look was pristine and light. The white shirt has become the staple piece for many designers this Spring/Summer and we saw a continuation of this today, but this time with an oriental twist courtesy of the batwing sleeves. Next came an injection of camouflage khaki consisting of greens and browns and with it, a sports-luxe tracksuit. In stark contrast, were bright blues yet pertaining to the oriental aspect with dragon motifs. This motif continued with billowy black dresses adorning a large dragon graphic print and then embroidered onto kimonos. The mixture of forms from draped to sports were confused at times, but in all pertained to the Asian tone of the show.
