Saint Laurent Women Spring Summer 2016 –

Saint Laurent’s SS16 show saw models stomping down the catwalk in shimmering, barely-there, diaphanous mini dresses, and clumpy wellington boots.  Hedi Slimane sent his models down the catwalk as rock princesses, complete with tiaras adorning their hair and pale make up to give them a jaded look.  With their fur coats thrown on over the top of lace slip dresses, leather biker jackets over glittering sequinned dresses, and baggy sweatshirts and denim over silk slips, Slimane created an atmosphere that resembled being at a muddy British festival.

The models, in their glamorous grunge outfits and wellington boots, resembled the group of elite “cool girls” whom have graced Glastonbury (Kate Moss springs to mind, when viewing each of Slimane’s looks).  The girls, with their dishevelled hair and red circles around their eyes, gave the perfect sense of punk rock, have barely slept but still partying attitude.
