BCBG Max Azria

Spring-Summer 2015 – “Designers Max and Lubov Azria kick off New York Fashion Week by showing an impressively flowing collection which shows their continuing development as designers. Continuing from their AW 2014 RTW show, the pieces shown have relaxed silhouettes to fit in with a laid back spring/summer aesthetic. Sumptuous off-white and cream fabrics were showcased along with draped chiffon printed with what seems like flowers, but the movement along with the chiffon gives an almost stained glass quality in the fabric.

A clear departure from the usual for Max and Lubov, but the almost ethereal qualities produced with the pastel print chiffon-like fabric work rather well together with the slightly more structured white jackets and maxi skirts, to create a collection which at first seems to be disconnected, but on closer inspection there is a translucence and sheer elegance which seems to transcend the entire collection.”
