Spring-Summer 2014 – The Nineties has proved to inspire across the fashion spectrum for this spring; yet few brands showcased the finesse quite like Helmut Lang. True to the Houses’ DNA of Nineties nostalgia and minimalism, Lang crafted boxy bustier’s, skirts, dresses and ankle gracing trousers in white and black: reflecting elements of origami that were slouchy rather then rigid.

From white noise to pops of colour, after collaborating with Wade Guyton (an artist known for his linear graphic pieces) the destined duo created painterly slashed wrap skirts, pink panelled frocks and linear-embellished, translucent shirtdresses. These garments resembled palettes of a crushed berry stains fetching a feminine twist to the masculine tailoring. Pointed loafers, geometrical handbags and equally as linear sandals complete Lang’s low-key, city girl look.

Take note of spaghetti straps, sleeveless jackets and loosely lux attire: they are certain successes for next year’s summer season.
