Calvin Klein
Spring-Summer 2014 – The helm of the House, Francisco Costa latest collection honours the brands DNA of clean lines and minimalism. This month was the designer’s ten-year anniversary at Calvin Klein and once again he masters the innovative, creating distinctive cargo pants that are sure to pull on the fahionista’s heartstrings. Wide leg pants twilled with stiff cotton and almost knee high cuffs were also simplistically forward, whilst Costa’s use of feathers and yarn echoed 1920’s tailoring with a modern manner.
Gracing the catwalk was a double face canvas top and skirt crafted with a flap of fabric down the right side, blushed with salmon pink material on the inside and the corresponding white on the other. The cut was excellently executed creating a flash of pink peaked, whilst in motion. The compelling collection contained highlights of marbleized snakeskin pieces and striking panelled bandeau dresses, covering a balance of design and commercialism.
