Spring-Summer 2013 – Jason Wu showed how class, sass, and sophistication can be achieved with his spring-summer 2013 collection. As always, he created a prim and proper silhouette. This featured high waisted shorts paired with white blouses, demure shirts and cropped blazers. Along the way, there were soft pink playsuits and navy jumpsuits (both were worn with medium-thin waist belts). Lace and leather continue their resurgence this season. This was clear with Wu’s A-line leather skirt bearing a transparent lace hem and a coquettish lace dress lined with leather trimmings. With the bandeau and lingerie-like tops, the look was reminiscent of Dita Von Teese like pinup girls, respectively. To finish, the luxurious ball-gowns with glistening embellished bodice’s and skirts drenched in tulle created a wonderful finale. Wu tailored refined yet seductive clothing – a true masterpiece.
