Balenciaga

Spring-Summer 2012 – It was graphic, it was futuristic, and it was very sport-chic. Box shaped jackets were paneled in a variety of metallic colours ranging from lilac to navy. Tops followed on a similar suit being slightly cropped in some cases. The oversized jumper dresses with broad shoulders gave a tomboyish feel, and so did the baggy shorts, tightened only by a belt around the waist. Printed shirts were in tune with the patterned trend and as was the use of fabrics: high waisted trousers were denim at the front and twill at the back while longer skirts were made up from patchwork fabric. Accessories were kept to the bare minimum, bare the wimple hats which created quite a statement. Trousers were high-waist with a slim fit, and in most cases, paired with the statement white blouse. To finish eccentric dresses made up from an array of fabrics. It was a smart collection.
