Autumn-Winter 2012/13 – Jason Wu has risen to stardom as of late, and this collection evoked the androgynous style that has grabbed hold of so many twenty-first century women. With scraped back hair and military-esque silhouettes, there was a hardened attitude courtesy of the camouflage green and black palette. Black studded belts pulled in the waist, long black leather gloves gave even more attitude, and military coats were trench-like, or reworked into cropped jackets. It wouldn’t be autumn-winter without a splash of fur and this came by way of trimmings, sleeves and scarves.  Red broke up the sombre tones on skirts, jackets and thick dresses. An oriental elegance closed the show, with gold embellished patterns adorned black skirts and dresses. The lack of femininity at the start of the show had been vanquished by the end: red and black laces tops adorned asymmetric full-length skirts for an elegant finale.
