Autumn-Winter 2012/13 – Thus far the big hitters at Milan have offered us exactly what Donatella described her show to be: “sexy rock vibe against a backdrop of dark seduction.” The Goth was entrenched in this collection, a hard dabble into vampire-chic as girls wore calf-length chain-mail boots and Byzantine crosses were imported onto everything, be it a neon-yellow top, or a long-black coat. The strong presence of black was broken from time to time with chain-mail silver and neon yellow and orange. Dresses with Versace embellishment gave a nod to the luxury of the label otherwise it was the dominatrix attitude all the way, with buckled black leather and stiff bustiers. The LBD was in full throttle with crescents of silver metal, later, the Astrakhan coats bore strips of chain-mail and finally, a line up a silver metallic mesh and chain-mail dresses took design to another level.
