Aquascutum

Autumn-Winter 2012/13 – The true English brand has been going strong since 1851, yet rather than look back to the heritage that is so synonymous with British culture, it was a definite look forward as the collection evoked modernity via sports luxe styles and innovative twists here and there. The coat dominated with interesting big, open collars or no collars at all. There was a slight robotic feel with the ultra long sleeves extending below the wrists, high black gloves and sturdy boots. The crisp white blouse was favourable with most outfits, paired with black, basic pencil skirts or skinny trousers. Dominatrix -esque styling came by way of a thick brown leather coat-trousers combo, black leather trousers, heavy black eyeliner and long sleek black dresses. A dark palette of navy, black and grey was broken by the end with greens, whites and creams but in all Aquascutum kept it very simple.
