Autumn-Winter 2011/12 –  Staying true to form, the Valentino girl is once more sophisticated to the core with this seasons AW collection. Opening with a simple nude dress; cable knit above the waist and plain knit below, paired with calf length nude boots really set the tone. Knee-high snakeskin boots came next with a cardigan coat before the slim trench coats in navy or green leather. Delicate styling was still prominent so to perpetrate the true Valentino woman: sheer blouses; tiny pyramid studs and skinny belts kept the manner of the clothing delicate. A-line skirts were the order of the day, maintaining formality with box pleats whilst inciting seductive-chic with the signature barely-there lace by way of lace-topped dresses. To close, long formal chiffon and shimmering chiffon dresses in muddy greens and browns captured the Valentino that we know best.
