Autumn-Winter 2010/11 – Rock-ability, check. The symbolic crown, check. Crazy makeup, check. Draping on mass, check. It was clear Vivienne Westwood had arrived.The girls were made to look like, well quite frankly, men. Drawn on wispy hair around their mouths or a slither of a mustache gave the models an air of the French aristocracy, but these royals were up to nothing but debauchery. Hair was strewn aside and clothing giving a nonchalant feel. This look was preserved through the entire show with an asymmetric cut everywhere.There were crowns on the girls heads, crown emblems on their clothing, and the words ‘Prince Charming’ articulated on T-shirts. Voluptuous silhouettes were created with reels of fabric that created huge blanket like shawls, puffball skirts, and taffeta dresses. The bright collection was further enlivened with graffiti leggings and train of party streamers. It was Vivienne Westwood all over.
