Nina Ricci

Nina Ricci Woman Autumn-Winter 2016 – At Nina Ricci tailored silhouettes brought structured elegance together with femininity, through pieces that celebrated the female form.

A striking black tuxedo jacket opened the show with its classic lines given a modern twist by its pairing with bright red tapered trousers. In a similar way, whilst other suit trousers kept a multitude of looks formal, silky shirts and sheer fabrics, which revealed cropped bralettes, added a hint of flirtness and fun that turned office formality into eveningwear.

Likewise, long sleeved, round-necked shirts were tucked into calf-length skirts belted at the waist to achieve a flattering hourglass silhouette, whilst impossibly-high slits transformed these skirts and other sequined dresses into glamorous but also borderline audacious pieces.

Coats also got an upgrade with structured styles done up over the shoulders to take the form of dresses and patent leather designs in chocolate brown and black polka-dot feeling like a modern, more-sophisticated version of the raincoat.

Likewise, large furry designs added additional texture to the looks whilst oversized calf-length options combined with both the slip dresses and more formal tailoring further streamlined the models’ silhouettes, encapsulating the fun yet structured approach to dressing of the Nina Ricci woman.
