Narciso Rodriguez Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Narciso Rodriquez presented a short but sweet collection, which started with contemporary shapes, minimal colour and clean lines, and gently transitioned into a collection of interesting silk and mesh gowns. The collection was practical and versatile, with a few sexy silk pieces thrown in to keep things exciting.

The minimalistic collection began with a selection of skirts and dresses with subtle cut outs on the thigh and chest, which was common throughout the collection. Rodriquez displayed split flute sleeves on dresses and blouses, which added an interesting design point to otherwise simple dresses and create a dramatic display as they flowed down the runway.

Rodriquez’s collection of slip style evening gowns was the real focal point of the show. The use of shimmery materials such as silk and mesh overlays was a contrast to the matte materials of the other pieces. Particular stand out pieces were the blush-lilac silk dress with a black mesh vest, and the oversized sequin dress with black under layer.
