Dolce & Gabbana

Spring-Summer 2015 – Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce unveiled a collection that was influenced by Spanish culture. The range focused on Corrida, a bullfighting sport in Spain. Models donned similar garments worn by toreros, ‘bullfighters’, but in bolder tones to modernize it. Jackets and boleros that featured embroidery were seen on the runway completing the torero-inspired look. The collection had a sporty vibe to it, as it included hi-tops, sneakers and vests that included patterns. Tunic t-shirts in silk were decorated in majolica prints, which created a dynamic sensation. References to corrida kept appearing throughout the show in the form of the colour red, as the sport is alleged to cause bloodshed, and bull prints, reminding the spectators of the theme.
