Spring-Summer 2014 – The Costume National Homme collection for this season really did have everything in. It started off with crisp white suits, with no other colour, which then moved onto similar casual suits (some of them were sleeveless) except all in black. There was then leather, soft beige fabrics, splashes of yellow and pastel blue and man-satchels. There also included a suit made entirely of gold lame’ fabric, trilbies and a couple of tuxedos thrown in. This combination of uber-smart and cool and casual means the Costume National have catered for all occasions. There are smart pleated trousers teamed with chunky knitted jumpers or a grungy leather jacket or tuxedo jackets over t-shirts, creating a huge fusion of the literal smart/casual dress code.
