Spring-Summer 2012 – It’s not often you associate Burberry with festival wear, but when I first saw the collection and the models taking to the runway under a musical blanket of Muse, that’s the first thing that came to mind. Large rain coats and duffels in brighter colours than Burberry’s typically safe beiges, multi coloured large knit jumpers and woven bobble flat caps in blue, orange and green gave it a slightly hippy feel. The impeccable tailoring and focus on outerwear were still there, but with a modern twist that was very refreshing.
