Rick Owens

Autumn-Winter 2014/15 – As if catwalk shows don’t radiate enough attitude as it is, you need Rick Owen’s collection in your face.

Moody and abstract may be the best way to describe the long line vests teamed with full-length trousers and chunky boots. “What’s the deal with that?” I hear you ask and I’ll answer with “nothing, quite a classic, elongating outfit.” However there is a little bit of extra something with this line; something maybe way over your head.. Literally!!

There is a slight religious tone based around the design in the headgear. It resembles a nun’s habit; falling straight over the back like a veil. Some other items teamed with this extravagant garment include shorts over trousers, dungarees over trousers and a lavish scarf which looks more like a throw for a bed.

There is something unintentional about this line that also succeeds in being extremely successful.
