Lucas Ossendrijver has a particular aesthetic when it comes to producing menswear for Lavin. The aesthetic, austere beauty, plays a significant part in the recreation of modern day dressing for men in a way that is not boxed in with masculinity. Instead, the Lanvin man is ambiguous and strong, with a mysterious yet alluring glint in his eye.
It was that aesthetic that was captured in Paris, as Lanvin produced a plethora of tailoring and options such as skinny suits with sheer undershirts in pale blue and pink, space-like boots, trousers in many different guises, mesh shirts over black turtlenecks and statement oversized coats, featuring different cuts and accents such as stitching that formed an almost paper doll silhouette.
It was classic revisited; yet it also appreciated the street as trainers were teamed with tailored outfits. All of this and more hinted at a collection that was all about mixing things up and a celebration of menswear throughout the ages.
