Alexander McQueen

Autumn-Winter 2012/13 – When one thinks of the dandy, a fine English gentleman, the perfect designer that comes to mind is McQueen and Sarah Burton showed this in abundance; cropped trousers and double breasted pinstripe suits, white tuxedos and velvet. Sarah freshened these looks by showing a sporty zip up top, two toned Prince of Wales checked suit jackets, black satin overcoats and jackets with leather sleeves. The tailoring was immaculate, the floral motifs and embroidery on jackets and cardigans elaborate, and the prints of some three piece suits were daring. Decadence and theatrics: this collection showed the true spirit if McQueen.
