Autumn-Winter 2010/11 – The music and general semblance of this show makes it feel quite lonely with the black backdrop and “I’m feeling ugly” lyrics. This coupled with the pale and almost gothic looking models make for a dark collection in spirit. The long smock like sleeveless jumpers, tight trousers and large wrap around pale jackets conjure the image of straight jackets. He includes dark leathers and heavy furs, snakeskin boots and baggy cropped trousers, velvet jackets with square shoulder pads and mitten gloves with a large cuff which take us back to the primitive times, when clothes were fashioned from the wilderness. Layers were a feature and boots with a wedge heel and backless tops bridged the similarities between men’s and women’s fashion.
