Maison Mihara Yasuhiro

Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Man Autumn-Winter 2016-17 – Designs full of amazing patchworks, Maison Mihara showcased an eye-catching collection with yellow tartan suits and oriental pattern.

Comfort and denim appeared to be the inspiration behind this collection as the designs presented interweaved sweaters with detailed holes that contained astonishing collaged images inside. The knitted jumpers were paired with cotton tracksuit looking bottoms. Mihara explored torn on interweaved sweaters and the long wool oversized coats had sandstone detailed fastening buttons on the front.

The collection displayed a range of two piece denim coordinated outfits paired with white trainers. Cropped jackets with horizontal black stripes paired with grey denim jackets and Illustrated pants made from fibre material which told a clear story to the audience.

Like other designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Mihara also played with the oversized cropped pants theme, however, incorporated colourful patterns on his designs, which made the garments stand out. The pieces were accessorised with long socks and modern looking tokin hats.
