Junya Watanabe Man Spring-Summer 2017 – The Junya Watanbe Man Spring Summer 2017 was an undoubtedly edgy one, with an array of interesting textures and materials on show. In terms of colour, monochrome prints played a vital role with midnight blacks, charcoal greys and icy whites all taking centre stage. The collection was also incredibly print heavy with some black and white relaxed fit t-shirts sporting intricate tattoo like designs, adding to the gangster/punk feel of the overall Junya Watanabe styling. Accessories included heavy leather harnesses teamed with the various simple white vests, and footwear included shiny black studded loafers which added to the edgy, punky feel of the collection. In line with this, models were given a tough and harsh look, sporting heavily tattooed faces and chests, looking the audience members directly in the eye to create a fabulously intimidating spectacle that caused the watcher to sit up and pay the upmost attention to the collection.
