Issey Miyake Men

Issey Miyake Men Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Issey Miyake’s beginning looks showed colour marble prints and relaxed trousers. I gathered that the collection was going to play on the idea of the stylish and creative urban male.

What followed next was the true essence of Issey Miyake.  The attention paid to the use of fabrics, textures and shapes of the garments is noticeable.  Issey Miyake makes us admire and take into account the way the body and the garments work together to compliment each other.  Structured jackets strengthened the masculine silhouette. The oversized jackets and loose fitted trousers provided a trendy, urban mood.

The Autumnal hues of orange, khaki along with the dark grey and navy blue reflects the seasonal conditions.  Whilst the pop of electric blue and yellow gave the collection a refreshing feel.

This collection manages to show the way in which poise and confidence is expressed in a subtle, sophisticated way.
