Elie Saab

Spring-Summer 2014 – Delivering another heavenly collection with his exquisite designs this season was Elie Saab and his highly anticipated SS14 Haute Couture show.

Unsurprisingly the attention was all in the careful detail as Elie Saab showered the audience in petals, wowed them with flattering shapes and dazzled them with truly breathtaking embellishments.

Through his use of intricate beading, lace and drapery Saab managed to, not only embrace both glamour and romance, but to epitomise true opulence. Meanwhile, his use of effortless, floaty shapes and sheer panelling added a tender, feminine quality to the collection.

The colour palette was equally enchanting as combinations of midnight and icy blues came together with frosty greys, scarlet reds and pastel pinks. Whilst the pretty pastel shades made the collection feel romantic and dreamy, it was the bright reds, blues and blacks that made the collection that extra bit compelling.

With a collection rich in beauty and elegance, it’s clear to see why Elie Saab has become one of Haute Couture’s biggest fashion houses.

Epitomising what we’ve come to expect from a Haute Couture collection, Elie Saab quite literally took our breath away.
