Spring-Summer 2010 – The deep blue eyeshadow, pale faces and red lipstick can only mean one thing when it comes to Riccardo Tisci and that is Goth couture. ‘Dark circus’ seemed to be the underlining theme. There were ringmaster tuxedos and sassy transparent bras covered by the sheerest black chiffon and a high-waist  structured skirt. Tailoring masculinity and femininity into one, Tisci combined tailed coats over sheer dresses. Bejeweled clothes were prevalent throughout, crystal belts adorning miniskirts and a crust of jewels took over T-shirts. Feathers were also high on the agenda, a burst of hand-sewn feathers created tops in a black and white degradé. The creative came with lampshade-esque hats in black lace and heavy sequined jumpsuits in rich emerald and sapphire.  Finale ball gowns were awe-inspiring. Starting in glistening gold, the fell into a rich purple and culminated with heavy frills and epitomised the talent of Tisci.
