Spring-Summer 2010 – If it wasn’t the silver crescent shaped clothes that gave the theme away, then it was certainly the silver crescent moon strewn across the silver-star backdrop that did. The entire collection was dedicated to silver, the softest pink, black, metallic, and snippets of royal blue for a beautifully shimmering collection.The crescent shape was pertinent throughout, acting as enlarged pins on jackets, as curves on clothes, or creating clutch bags. New shapes were made, Giorgio explained his “ergonomic pants”: a very close fit with an exaggerated bootcut over the shoe. The idea of tight fitting clothing did not stop there as tight jackets had narrow sleeves and skirts fell tight to the thigh. The classy clothes were there as ever, epitomised by swept back hair and black-one shoulder dresses. Thick, jewelled embellished dresses gave a high beam to wonderfully sculpted dresses. It was another master class from Giorgio.
