Alexis Mabille

Autumn-Winter 2013/14 – Alexis Mabille constantly proves himself as a master of couture tailoring. The Parisian showed off his fine craftsmanship which he learnt from a young age. The shimmering metallic colour palette that has been pertinent at this years Couture fashion week, found its way onto skin tight trousers and the silkiest of blouses. The show was particularly feminine, with the models walking against an background of colourful flowers. The girls looked to have an explosion of petals on their head, whilst floral detailing was intricately embellished onto blouses, and fine beadwork onto jackets and dresses. The colour of the petals set the mood for the palette used in the show. There were baby pinks, baby blues, whites and forest greens. This floral inspiration created the pretext for what were stunning floor length gowns. Oversized ruffles cascaded down the side of dresses, whilst billowing sleeves grew and grew to over exaggerate the shoulder.
