Haider Ackermann Man Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – The use of velvet, waistcoats and statement jackets gives this collection a narrative impression.  The garments demanded attention. Several statement pieces were layered together in looks.  Check patterns were teamed with elements of stripes and metallic fabrics. The use of hounds tooth with leather is true Haider Ackermann style, where he mixes dress codes and cultural references.

Loose and structured jackets were styled with tight fitted leggings. The contrast to this being the use of a sculptured blazer with loose fitting trousers. The more fitted garments managed to highlight the masculine shoulders and confident posture of the models. The colour palette is made up of an interesting use of black, green, teal, blue, pink, with a hint of purple and caramel.

There are several looks that explore the use of different textures together. These looks are kept minimal and this shows refinement in the work that is presented. This collection is a visual treat and manages to represent key trends in the brand’s signature way.
