Givenchy Man Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Riccardo Tisci had his collection on show near the time of Trump’s inauguration into The White House. American references were clearly present. The designer had commented that he was using inspiration from his own childhood interpretation of the American West. Jumpers had tribal motifs and stripes together, worn with narrow trousers.  Tartan was also thrown in to this mix.

Tisci used colour in both a muted and loud way. Red, blue and white were seen along with bright orange. Bold geometric shapes on shirts and jumpers caught attention. Structured jackets and casual coats in black had statement buttons on them.

At the end there was a glimpse of what to expect from the coming womenswear collection.  The long dresses were appealing in the way they complimented the body.  Tartan prints and intricate cut out fabrics were seen. Dresses and a black leather jacket had the fringing element, which brought out a tough look.  The use of intriguing fabrics and a strong demeanour of the models defiantly gave the upcoming collection an appeal.
