Giambattista Valli Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Fun, flirty and fabulous are apt descriptions for Giambattista Valli’s collection this season, where the athletic met the elegant in a creative showdown.

Signaling an attire that could carry through to day or night, Valli’s designs included floral forms with a tapestry feel to dainty lace numbers and embroidered strawberries which sparkled upon a short blazer and fitted, white straight skirt with banded waist. Feminine pieces were in full force with a sheer white cincher with black bow detail, ruched shirts paired with laced heels and a chiffon dress with a cowl-esque collar and tiered sleeve being just a few examples.

This heightened femininity was met by an athleisure undertone when a jacket with the printed initials of ‘G’ and ‘V’ as well as bulging and bowed outwear were layered over a pair of Nike leggings; combined with dark, laced-up heels these looks exhibited an effortlessly casual luxury.

Giambattista’s blend of high and low produced a new kind of stylish; one that oozes both splendor and street-style edge.
