Christian Dior

Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2015 – This years Christian Dior collection can be referred to as ‘modern day couture’. And is the most colorful collection seen so far, during Haute Couture SS15. The 56-piece collection was designed by Raf Simons, who drew inspirations from three decades: the 50s, 60s and 70s.

The collection featured an array of colours but the most striking were citrus orange, fresh green and sky blue. Simons seemed to be inspired by Ziggy Stardust and reworked the classic trend into a more playful jumpsuit, with a touch of clashing prints and loud colours.

Besides the key look this season ballerina dresses, cutaway tops and A line shapes also made there way down the catwalk, paired with latex boots (as seen in the 60s). However Dior stripes are what I’m lusting for this Spring/Summer, whether it’s a mini dress or a voluminous skirt.

The entire collection created an uplifting atmosphere, across both levels. And I’m eager to see Christian Dior’s next collection.
