Chanel Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Beautiful and classy come to mind when one thinks of the Chanel maison, a quality that is carried through in Lagerfeld’s AW17 collection; furnishing dresses with an enchanting and futuristic allure.

The outfits, much like the life-sized space rocket poignantly positioned along the runway, took off with a roar of innovation; shiny and quilted jackets, spaceship styled handbags and glittering boots with contrasted toe rooted the show in a galactic theme. Silver leather coats with a crackle texture were furnished with sheepskin sleeves, while jewel encrusted mini-dresses and glittering knitwear and skirts gave a black-hole quality.

An air of classic Chanel elegance was seen in tweed coats rimmed with black and white colour, as well as grey and white jersey fabrics with wide-leg pants. Hair was equally as dignified; back-combed and poofed at the front with bedazzled detailing set against a knitted headband. Eyelids gave an enlarged illusion by grey shadow and darker cut creases paralleling the exaggerated lower-lashes and nude strawberry lipstick.
