Alexis Mabille Haute Couture Autumn-Winter 2016-17 – Shape, shape, shape.  Alexis Mabille’s haute couture collection can be summed up in one word; shape.  Mabille gives the body dimensions and angles never seen before in this innovative collection.  Characterized by silk, satins and pastel colours the dimensions are softened so the drama is over accentuated.  This collection features many contrasts, as some garments are very subtle and understated while others are ostentatious.  Another contrast on one garment includes an intricate and ornately embellished bodice, paired with bold skirt with many different dimensions.  Mabille uses various lengths but sticks mostly to the maxi length, often using different tiers on these maxi lengths.  The hair and makeup is simple, a middle part with slicked down hair and a slight pop of pastel colours on the eyelids.  It appears that the hair is a contrast to the bold details featured in the garments.
