In an era of mini dresses, floaty maxi dresses, high platformed shoes and coiffed hair Diane Keaton brought androgyny to the forefront. She made it acceptable for women to wear men’s clothes and still be likeable and sexy in their own independent way. She would layer baggy shirts with waistcoats and blazers, teamed with loose trousers and brogues and finished with a Ralph Lauren tie. So was born “The Annie Hall look”.
