Russel
Russel fabric is a corded fabric. The cord lines in this fabric run warp wise and it is typically made using a cotton warp and a worsted filling yarn. The composition of this fabric is generally 40% cotton and 60% wool, but this can vary depending on the end use of the fabric. Russel fabric is made by weaving the two warp ends together to form the cords in the fabric. This fabric is very crease resistant and retains its shape well. For these reasons, it is used to make high quality academic dress and legal wear. Thick strands of yarn are used to construct this fabric. It is similar to Princetta fabric, but heavier.
