Generally, Chinese fashion is heavily inspired by traditional Chinese prints and design. Bold colour palettes and luxurious fabrics are usually utilised to create dresses which are more opulent and intricate than the Japanese designs which are usually mistaken as Chinese. In terms of China as an emerging fashion capital, Beijing is widely renowned as a fashion hotspot and China imports more clothes than any other country in the world. Emerging Chinese designers are also beginning to gain notoriety; Yiqing Yin is a Chinese couturier whose breathtaking designs meant that her show at Couture Fashion Week was one of the hottest tickets of the week.
