Jonathan Saunders

Spring-Summer 2015 – Simplicity was the key to Jonathan Saunders’ collection, with a basic leaf pattern prominent throughout the pieces, alongside different shades of blue running through the show. The designs had a clean cut, emphasising the idea of ‘less is more’ that shone through the collection, despite the occasional bow. As the collection went on, the designs became more complicated and embellished, with an abundance of ruffles and metallic-coloured fabric. Then, the simple cut and embellishment amalgamated towards the end of the show, to form stunning knee and tea length dresses.

Leather sandals and ankle boots in black, cornflower blue, white, gold, brown and blood red toughened up the designs. Make-up was natural, and hair was worn loose in order to emphasise the unification of nature and simplicity.
