Rebecca Taylor

Spring-Summer 2015 – As the first looks were shown they nearly wafted down the catwalk, showing that Rebecca Taylor clearly knows how to manipulate fabric to ensure garments both fit the body but create an interesting movement. On closer detail the print used almost looked like microscopic images of cells from the human body, and along with the wisping fabric it made for a fantastic link with the human body and fashion.

Attention to detail seemed to be the key for this collection, with transparent material used to great effect to contrast against brighter flower prints, and distinctive embroidery work restrained to particular sections. Rebecca Taylor went from strength to strength, using a distinctly feminine colour palette throughout, from hues of lavender and heather through to stark orange highlights with pale pinks and mustard yellow as contrast pieces.

Altogether, this collection worked to a great extent to showcase the flexibility of Taylor as a designer, with the quality tailoring and manipulated ruffles and layers to the selective colour palette.
