Manish Arora

Manish Arora Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Manish Arora launched an eruption of ambitious patterns, elaborate textures and a palette that any pop-art artist would desire.

With a collection that screamed modernism, Arora presented a vast array of what, under any other designer, would be deemed disjointed designs, yet manages to display a unique flair throughout. Taking on a dark colour scheme of emeralds, midnight blues and vivid oranges, the collection gave way to key pieces that dispensed elements of the kooky; a diverse triangular print of dress and high-collared and vibrant, monochrome necklaces being just two examples. With a rough, metallic pant and glittering planet shaped bag, the funky soon made its way to the futuristic. A celestial theme ran throughout, with patterns featuring bejeweled planets and moons, and a firework design threaded into a denim jacket

Accessorized body and faces were also seen on Arora’s runway, with white beading running up the arm and around the eyes, alluding to an almost tribal influence. Equally, the combination of vest coat with a stiffened, ankle-length skirt gave the seamless essence of an artfully poised warrior.
