Hermés

Hermés Man Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Classic timeless pieces took over the show. The essence of luxury and quality was delivered through the use of cashmere coats and sheepskin pullovers. This was defiantly a true Hermes conservative collection and it stood out for this reason. There were no street wear inspired looks here, as seen throughout the week. Instead there were was a muted colour palette consisting of formal trousers, teamed with shirts and turtleneck jumpers.

The use of hounds tooth and checks fell easier into this collection, without trying too hard to set the formal scene. There was the use of velvet as seen previously. These suits had washed out tones of dark green and burgundy. There was an impression that this material choice was for the collection’s concept, and was not necessarily used due to trend purposes.

This collection can be admired for the way it quietly brought out the great work carried out by craftsmanship. The shapes and detailing of the coats were particularly impressive. The Hermés scarves and bags also did justice to the styling.
