Marni Man Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Quirky, Funky, Off-beat, Feminine and vintage-inspired are Marni’s ideal keywords. Marni’s is Bohemian inspired brand. Marni’s fall/winter 2017 menswear show is refreshment to a brand itself because of its new creative director Francesco Risso. Marni’s signature traits when it comes to colour co-ordination has always been bright and bold. Three – dimensional effect of abstract and geometric prints on knitted fabrics, polyester and wool were experimental. Burgundy, olive green, brown along with abstract bright colours was supportive towards prints. Pattern style of silhouettes like oversized coats, trousers, and jumpers were tremendously humongous. Some of the trousers looked pyjama inspired because of the unique taste of prints. Frequent use of hand printed DIY utility waist belts was noticed. Marni collaborate with the Paris based shoe designer Achilles Ion Gabriel worked together for the most mind boggling feature of the show cartoonish-chunky sneakers. Sneakers had thick soles made in brown, powder blue and white.
