Christopher Shannon

Christopher Shannon Men Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Christopher Shannon fall/winter 2017 menswear show was inspired by the photographic view in the magazines. His designs always have been a combination of masculine sportswear with some extraordinary details like patchwork, embroidery and feminine frills to enhance the silhouettes. This season silhouettes were more inclined towards the durability of the fabric, easy to wear and comfort of the patterns. Fabrics like denim, wool, nylon, jersey and leather in pastel colours which were colour blocked in different patterns. Splash of bright colours in the pastel colour blocking was very refreshing. The patterns of silhouettes were basic tees, padded jackets, hoods, track pants and denim jackets. Ribbed denim style silhouettes were almost an echo of punk fashion. The most interesting part of the show was the use of accessories as face wear in association with Rottingdean Bazaar. Now that’s called a creative way of expressing an impact of political issues in fashion industry through his collection.
