Max Mara

Autumn-Winter 2014/15 – Oversized coats with dashes of gold appeared to be the headlines in this years’ autumn collection by Max Mara.

He takes the idea of tweed grey, with it being such a formal colour and dressing it up with the richness of satin, dripping yellow gold. The block grey, simple yet substantial with the light and dark grey puppy tooth blend sets the grounding for the eye catching shimmering gold; the two contrasts of colours and materials create depth against the varying cuts and styles.

Body-con midi skirts layered with oversized tweed trench coats cause the model to look slimmer yet taller. The matte top wear acts as a basis for the shiny material on the bottom wear. It is possible to combine both if followed correctly; not much accessorizing nor detailing is required.

The return of PVC; taking you back into the 90’s, is transformed by the bomber waistcoat is more than enough for anyone this coming fall.
