Neolithic

  

The Neolithic (or New Stone) Age was an important period in the development of human technology towards the end of the Stone Age. In terms of fashion, the Neolithic age saw garments become much looser and more comfortable. Generally, the Neolithic women would wear loose mid-length skirts with a baggy T-shirt shaped tunic, and many suggest that the popular silhouette of the A-line skirt was first developed in the Neolithic age. In terms of accessories, much of the jewellery was woven and adorned with items such as animal teeth, shells, bone fragments and fish teeth. Fabric dye was also made from vegetable and mineral colours, whereas the popular footwear of the time was a basic shoe that resembled a moccasin with woven adornment.
